Strategic Realignment

Major Public Financial Institution

A major public financial institution operating across multiple markets and investment activities faced the challenge of strategically realigning itself in response to significant economic, competitive, and societal change.

Over time, the institution had expanded beyond its traditional core activities into a broader, more diversified portfolio of investment, advisory, and international activities. This created increasing organisational complexity and raised fundamental questions about strategic priorities, organisational capability, leadership alignment, and long-term enterprise coherence.

For more than a decade, I have supported leaders across the organisation through an ongoing process of strategic reflection and realignment, engaging senior executives, general managers, and future leadership cohorts.

The work focused on helping leaders collectively rethink what the organisation was trying to achieve, how its purpose should evolve in a changing external environment, and what organisational choices would be required to support its future strategic direction.

This involved facilitating structured dialogue on strategic priorities, enterprise design, organisational capabilities, and long-term alignment across an increasingly diversified and internationally connected institution.

The broader aim was to strengthen the organisation’s ability to continuously realign itself while remaining anchored to a clear and enduring enterprise purpose.

Start a conversation about your leadership alignment challenge

If strategy is not translating into results, decisions feel slower than they should, execution is inconsistent, or your organisation feels fragmented despite everyone’s best efforts, the underlying issue is often a lack of leadership alignment.

If that sounds familiar, I’d be delighted to start a conversation.
